Welcome From the WPA Board of Directors

Western Pyrotechnic Association

Presents
Virtual WinterBlast

WPA Members, welcome to the online version of WWB – Virtual WInter Blast. Going online isn’t our first choice, but it’s the best choice for the times. Stick around, maintain your membership, and we’ll see you at Do It this fall or WWB next year.

You’ll see that we have reduced the cost of the event, and created bundles to save you even more money. The seminar team has done a fantastic job of pulling together a set of live and recorded presentations. The technology folks are working to make sure we can all meet in seminar tents, or the afterglow. It won’t be the same, but it’ll be a good year. We’d like to say a big thank you to the staff who worked tirelessly to create the event.

With so few pyro events happening in person this year, the WPA has opened Winter Blast to all members of pyro clubs across the globe. Welcome guests! If you enjoy what you experience this year, be sure to apply for membership and come see us in person next year. We have a 4 or 5 day event that ends on the Monday of Presidents’ day (around valentine’s day if you’re a romantic). We host the event in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, where it’s usually warm and sunny. We have a full schedule of seminars, 1.3 and 1.4 product sales for shooting on site, manufacturing areas, a trade show tent for vendors and of course lots and lots of fireworks demos, displays and member built product. Every fall, we host Do It, which is a smaller event in Hawthorne, Nevada. Do It is focused on hobbyist manufacturing. Join the WPA, get on the mailing list and we’ll see you in soon.
